House in a Box has the capability to ship any of our available models  to Canada or overseas. Our homes are packaged and insured in containers, ready for assembly anywhere in the world. International orders require additional information, and the process of purchasing differs from domestic orders. Here are a few items to keep in mind when assessing our homes for international shipment:

  1. Canada is generally available for direct shipments by our manufacturers. With locations in Alaska and most Border States we should be able to ship on our fleet or handle logistics on 3rd party haulers. Tariffs would apply from each Province for inbound materials. Our existing freight estimates are for shipments to the continental US and do not apply internationally as code, specs, etc will vary dramatically from US specs. Internation Shipping
  2. In order for House In A Box to provide estimated freight costs, all options including foundation type must be conveyed to a building consultant, along with the required port of delivery.  If the shipment is overseas our suppliers will arrange delivery to the appropriate port, secure container provider and set up shipment. In this arrangement we require 100% of value + shipping before shipment is made. Liability at shipment point transfers to the container carrier.
  3. House In A Box is only the agent of materials manufactured by others; our individual material suppliers/manufacturers hold warranty liability and would generally apply overseas.
  4. All purchase orders are FOB from the point of manufacturing. Any insurance, dreyage, port fees, duties, etc. will be the responsibility of the purchaser after shipment.
  5. Payment must be made prior to shipment by wire transfer or an irrevocable letter of credit (ILOC) drawn on an approved financial institution.
